Cong. Manoy Wilbert “Wise” Lee urged the government to stand firm and protect the livelihood of Filipino fisherfolk amid the four-month fishing ban imposed by China in the West Philippine Sea (WPS). Lee emphasized that Filipino fishermen have the right to fish in the area, especially within the country’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

“Hindi tayo dapat maging dayuhan sa sarili nating bayan,” Lee stressed, urging swift government action to provide assistance and safeguard the livelihood of those affected by China’s aggressive actions.
